FRANK JOSEPH BALOGH was born April 25, 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio to Hungarian immigrants, Frank and Elizabeth Balogh.
At the age of 18 he worked as a ride operator at Peace Bridge in Ontario, Canada.
The family was living in Willoughby, Ohio in 1930 and that is where Frank met his future wife, Eileen Ernst. They were married there and had a son Michael, born in 1936. A son Peter died there as an infant in 1944.
The family moved to Seldovia soon after that and to Seldovia in 1954. Frank and Eileen are buried side-by-side in the Seldovia City Cemetery in Plot #538.
