CHARLES (CARL) EVALD ENGSTROM was born to Erick Kallman and Anna Engstrom in Gävleborg, Sweden on Oct. 3, 1877, Sweden. He had two brothers and six sisters. He emigrated to North America in 1904. In 1920 he was living on a homestead at Coal Bay and fox farming with several Swedish partners. He was 65 years old and living in Seldovia, Alaska at the time he registered for the draft for WWII. He died in Seldovia on May 10, 1947. He was a fisherman. There is no record of a wife or children. He is buried in the Seldovia City Cemetery in Plot #182.
