THIRZA HOLMES, the sister of A.W. Holmes, was born in Marshfield, Maine on May 8, 1864.
Thirza had a son, Clyde Austin Holmes, born 1898, and they were both living in Seattle, Washington when Clyde registered for the military draft in 1918. They were living together there in 1920 where she was working in a restaurant.
By 1930 Thirza was living with her brother in “Homer Settlement” in Seldovia district. Neither listed an occupation in that 1930 census.
She died February 1937 in Seldovia, Alaska. She is buried in the Seldovia City Cemetery in Plot #140.
