Arthur KVARNESS, “Art” the son of Christien and Karen Kvarness, was born October 15, 1892 in Trondheim, Norway. He was living in South Dakota when he registered for the draft for WWI and became a US naturalized citizen in 1918, as a result of having been in the US military. He married Martha Edelman, daughter of Edwin and Demnina OSKOLKOFF Edelman, on January 9, 1927 in Seldovia. They had three children including a baby that was born and died in 1931 and is buried in the Seldovia Hillside Cemetery. In 1948 Art and Martha were living in Seattle, Washington. She died in 1950.
